Seagreens Organic Kelp is a whole food harvested fresh from the oceans surrounding Iceland or Ireland, depending on the season, then simply dried and powdered.
No dyes or other additives are used and nothing is taken away in the production process of the seaweed meal, which provides a 100% natural product in the true sense.
The harvesting is carried out by paddlewheel driven harvesters, and is cut (not dredged) above the seabed, and only the fresh kelp plants floating up to surface are picked up. This method is environmentally sustainable and ensures that only fresh seaweed free from contamination is used as raw material in the product.
